Day 17:Scratch the Mix
After two weeks Chris returned to Rercording House.He talked a lot with Mauro about the recording process and he was really happy to know that all the tracks sound well!! Mauro also let hear a little preview of the tracks. Chris knows his final goal: record the lasts percussions and start with the mix! Time for a last little recording! On the firsts hours Chris recorded a couple of percussions on “Ordinary Life” and “Modern Frozen Hope”!! Igor Cavalera protect us!! The puzzle is complete: let’s start to mixing,now! The first song is our hit “Soulmirror”.It’s incredible to hear all the parts on the mixing table. Everything sounds really heavy, good and powerful.The drum kit is like a war machine, the bass pulses hard piercing your ear, guitars are really fucking heavy… a wall of sound! So a particular mention to Mauro and his work. Gian really helped Mauro in this recording to get the best out of his voice parts. He worked a lot but, I know, the result gonna impressing many many people. A particular mention also to Tom,God and Gian’s work. They done a great job for the album.S o Chris and Mauro give an hand for the mix. To balance volume and be sure that all the things are going into the right flow. It’s an important process… and finally Soulmirror is done.We talked with Frank about the Master and two big names coming out to choose from. The first one is the famous Finnvox and the second name is the american West Side Studios (Mastodon,Killswitch Engage,Thrice etc…). We’re fucking excited about that…. Follow us for some news!!!
Dopo 2 settimane Chris ritorna nella sopranominata “Recording House”.Ad aspettarlo il Mauro che lo ha subito aggiornato sugli ultimi giorni di registrazione.Naturalmente non ha perso tempo e ha subito fatto sentire qualche anteprima del nuovo album.L’ultime cose da fare sono:registrare le percussioni e iniziare il MIx!!E’ tempo di una piccola fugace registrazione!Nelle prime ore Chris ha ultimato le ultime percussioni per “Ordinary Life” e “Modern Frozen Hope”!Igor Cavalera proteggici.Il puzzle si può dire finalmente completato tocca la parte più complessa quella del mixing.La prima canzone è la nostra hit ovvero “Soulmirror”.E’ veramente incredibile sentire tutte le parti nel banco del mixer.Una trasformazione che ti lascia a bocca aperta.La batteria suona come una macchina da guerra,il basso pulsa e ti perfora le orecchie così come le chitarre che formano un muro sonoro da paura!Una particolare menzione và al lavoro di voce di Mauro!Gian ha aiutato un sacco Mauro nella sua perfomance.Si è spaccato veramente il culo ma il risultato finale impressionerà positivamente tutti quanti.Vorrei comunque menzionare il lavoro del Tom,del God e del Gian!!Siete stati veramente strepitosi ragazzi.Chris e Mauro hanno dato una mano per il mix.Sopratutto per bilanciare bene il volume e far suonare tutto nella maniera più corretta.E’ un processo molto importante e finalmente Soulmirror è finita.Abbiamo discusso con Frank per il master e due grossi nomi sono saltati fuori per completarlo .Il primo è il famoso Finnvox e il secondo nome è lo studio di master West Side Studios (Killswitch Engage,Thrice,Mastodon..etc..)in America.Siamo eccitati per questa splendida notizia…State sintonizzati per le ultime news…
