sabato, concerto al PaoPao. Tutto ok direi, una buona prova per noi, una buona affluenza di pubblico, colgo subito l’occasione di ringraziare tutti gli amici che c’erano e tutti quelli che hanno acquistato il cd… Lo show ha proposto tutti i pezzi del demo compresa Song of a Lost Love (per la prima volta suonata dal vivo) e molti dei pezzi nuovi che stiamo scrivendo. Da we are alone fino a ordinary life… alla prossima, e speriamo che sia presto!

last saturday, show @ PaoPao Cafè. Everything was ok, we did quite a good show i think, there was a good number of people, and I thank all of the frinds that were there and all the ones that buyed the cd… During the show we played all the songs from our demo, even Song of a Lost Love (for the first time) and a lot of the new tracks that we are bulding up, from we are alone to ordinary life… see ya next time, I hope very soon!

Cosa ne sarà di queste pagine adesso che è online il sito ufficale della band e il myspace? Bene, è ora che comincino a essere davvero un diario. Dunque cominciamo subito raccontando la giornata di ieri! Gian e Chris sono andati a ritirare le copie del cd!!! Devo dire che il ristato finae è veramente ottimo! E adesso aiutateci a finirle, venite a un nostro concerto (a cominciare da domani sera 8 dicembre alle ore 21e30 al PaoPao Caffè a Pozzuolo del Friuli) oppure se siete dstanti, ma comunque volete il cd richiedete una copia QUI.

What the hell is going to happen to these pages now that the official website is online and also is the myspace? It’s time for them to beacome a real diary. So, let’s start by telling you what happened yesterday. Gian e Chris went to withdrew the copies of the cd! I’ve got to say that the inal result is really amazing! Now help us finish them all, come to see a  show (starting from tomorrow 21:30 @ PaoPao Caffè - Pozzuolo del Friuli) or if yu are far away, but you want the cd anyway, request your copy HERE.

Abbiamo finito di registrare la voce. Con “Song Of A Lost Love” (dove c’è anche una dolcissima guest di una nostra amica… ma ne parleremo…) anche la voce è stata completata. Rullo di tamburi: la vera notizia è che è stato completato definitivamente il demo! Adesso andremo a stamparne le copie e poi nel giro di due settimane sarà tutto pronto…

We finished recording vocals. “Song Of A Lost Love” (with a sweet guest by a friend… but we’ll talk about this later…) put an end on the recordings. But the great news is this: we finished the demo! Now we are going to make the copies and in about two weeks everything will be ready…

Mauro è arrivato nello studio… Sono iniziate finalmente anche le registrazioni della voce. Abbiamo iniziato con Brotherhood, tutto sembra procedere tranquillamente. Vediamo una luce…

Mauro entered the studi… Finally, voice recording has started. We started with “Brotherhood”, everything seems to go on without big problems. There’s a light at the end…

…e una luce c’è davvero. A breve la sorpresa!

Si è consumato l’ultimo atto delle chitarre. Sono stati registrati gli ass-oli! Tutto bene, senza intoppi, il God e il Tom si sono alternati registrando le rispettive parti soliste. C’è da dire che il risultato è molto buono, da sentire gli assoli di “The Unbroken”, l’assolo sperimentale del Tom in “Four Elements” e quello del god di “To Give Or To Leave”.

Guitars are over. We just finished recording guitar solos. Everything went ok, without problems, God and Tom recorded every part, with no stops, and the result is really good! I recommend to listen to the two solos in “The Unbroken”, Tom’s experimental solo in “Four Elements” and God’s solo in “To Give Or To Leave”.

Il racconto adesso proseguirà con la voce, con Mauro. Nella realtà attuale invece c’è da dire che siamo veramente vicini all’uscita…

Diary goes on with the voice, with Mauro. In the real world in these days, we have to say that we are really near the goal…

Il concerto di domenica sera a Osoppo è andato bene, a livello tecnico e di performance… 1he30 senza soste in cui sono stati presentati quasi tutti i brani che comporranno l’ormai imminente “i’ll show you my fear” compresa “The Unbroken” e le 5 nuove composizioni, da “we are alone” a “soulmirror”… Il contesto diciamo che certamente non era l’ideale per una performance così energica, diciamo… diciamo… come nel titolo: bella festa, pochi ma buoni. Grazie a chi c’era.

A presto su altre frequenze.

“an Handful of Dust” suoneranno DOMENICA 23 SETTEMBRE 2007 alla “Festa dell’Unità” di Osoppo che si svolgerà presso il parco delle ex-colonie. Ora di inizio prevista 21.00. Vi aspettiamo. Sarà un occasione per sentire buona parte dei pezzi di “I’ll Show You My Fear” e anche altri brani nuovi. Peace.

Allora, la produzione in realtà è arrivata a un punto finale, manca veramente poco, prima di poter avere in mano “I’ll show you my fear”. Noi dopo la “pausa” agostana riprendiamo col racconto delle registrazioni. Il god è tornato in sala per gli ultimi ritocchi alle sue parti e per registrare “angels landing”, la malinconica intro apripista del cd. Tutto alla grande. Un ringraziamento a Edy che ci ha imprestato la sua chitarra (a dire il vero ci aveva prestato anche l’altra chitarra altre volte ma di questa c’è la foto ). Ecco.

The mixing/production stage is almost over, only few final touches and “I’ll show you my fear” will be ready. So, after the holydays let’s continue with the story of the recording sessions. God’s back into the studio to put the final touches on some of his parts and to record “Angels Landing”, the melancholic intro of the cd. Everything went ok. Thanks to Edy for the guitar(s).
